DESCRIPTION:ESCRS to launch it’s new iNovation Day this September\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) is proud to announce the launch of its new iNovation Day in Milan\, Italy\, on Friday\, 16 September\, 08h30-15h30 at the MiCo (Allianz MiCo) – Milano Convention Centre \, immediately prior to the opening of the main ESCRS Congress programme. \nThis iNovation Day will bring together clinical and business experts from across Europe and other parts of the world.  Sessions will focus on the most urgent clinical needs and barriers to success in anterior segment care—and how the latest technology innovations may address those barriers and clinical needs within the next 5 years.  The agenda will also feature the latest developments in the European commercial and capital markets\, projected 2023 innovations\, regulatory changes\, and reimbursement trends. \nThe faculty will be anchored by the ESCRS clinical leadership and will feature a balanced mix of doctors and global executives from established and emerging public and private companies.  Unique perspectives will be shared by guest speakers from the European investment\, regulatory and research communities. \nThe programme will include focused panel discussions\, guest speakers\, emerging company showcases\, attendee trend survey results\, and several networking opportunities. Full programme\, registration\, and sponsorship details will be released in the coming weeks\, and we encourage doctors and industry to make plans to participate in this first iNovation meeting in European ophthalmology. \nKind Regards\n\nProf. Oliver Findl\nPresident\, ESCRS\n\nLink: iNovation – ESCRS 2022 | The European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons

SUMMARY:40th Congress of the ESCRS
DESCRIPTION:Dear ESCRS Community\nWe are pleased to inform you that the 40th Congress of the ESCRS will take place at the MiCo Milano Convention Centre\, Milan\, Italy from Friday 16 to Tuesday 20 September 2022.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Congress will be a primarily face-to-face event\, supported by a number of virtual elements. ESCRS is proud to have been among the first international healthcare societies to return to “live” meetings in 2021 and is excited to continue in this direction in 2022. \nThe Congress will take place in conformity with locally applicable sanitary restrictions as of September 2022. We are closely monitoring the situation and will regularly update our community as the situation evolves over the coming months. \nESCRS has taken on board various feedback received following the 2021 ESCRS Congress in Amsterdam to the effect that there is a strong desire to refocus on face-to-face meetings\, networking\, satellite symposia and exhibition. Nevertheless\, the virtual world has become part of our reality. Consequently\, sessions will still be streamed via the virtual conferencing platform. \nLast but by no means least\, I would like to highlight my commitment as ESCRS President to focus on sustainability in all areas of our activities as a society.  This includes our Congress and meetings.  We are therefore embarking on a holistic sustainability audit and improvement programme and are confident all stakeholders in our Congress will join us in this journey. \nWe very much look forward to welcoming you to the ESCRS 2022 Congress and hope that your stay in Milan will be informative\, educational and enjoyable! \nKind regards\n \n\n\n\n\nProf. Oliver Findl\nPresident\, ESCRS\n\nLink: ESCRS 2022 | The European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons
