Main finding: Improvements with amblyopia treatment were maintained at 15 years of age, with similar outcomes in both groups.
Purpose: To report long-term outcomes of patching and atropine as treatments for moderate amblyopia in children aged below 7 years old.
Type: Observational study
Condition: Amblyopia
Participants: Long term follow up of unselected subgroup of patient from PEDIG trial comparing Atropine vs patching.
n=147 patients
At 15-years of age:
Mean visual acuity in the amblyopic eye was approximately 20/25; 59.9% had VA of 20/25 or better and 33.3% 20/20 or better
Mean interocular acuity difference was 2.1 lines.
There was no significant differences in visual acuity of amblyopic and fellow eyes based on original treatment.

Main finding: Atropine or patching resulted in similar visual improvement in the amblyopic eye at 2 years.
Purpose: To compare patching and atropine as treatments for moderate amblyopia in children aged below 7 years old.
Type: Randomized controlled Trial
Condition: Amblyopia
Participants: Children younger than 7 years with amblyopia (Strabismic or anisometropic)
-VA in amblyopic eye 20/40-20/100
-VA in sound eye 20/40 or better
n=419 patients
Intervention:
