Main finding: Short-term postoperative use of NSAID or steroid drops may improve IOP reduction after SLT
Purpose: To examine whether short-term use of topical nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug or steroid therapy affects the efficacy of selective laser trabeculoplasty
Study type: Randomized controlled trial
Condition: Open angle glaucoma, Ocular Hypertension
Participants: ≥18yo with OAG (POAG, PXFG, PDSG) or OHT (IOP > 18)
n=96
Intervention:
Group 1: Ketorolac 0.5%
Group 2: Prednisolone Acetate 1%
Group 3: Saline tears
Eyedrop regime: QID for 5 days, starting D0 post SLT
There was no statistically significant difference in IOP decrease among groups at week 6
NSAID and steroid groups showed significantly greater decrease in IOP compared with the placebo group
ketorolac 0.5%
prednisolone 1%

Mean decrease in IOP (at 12 weeks) (mmHg)
